A brand new year...
Optimistic view: One more year to live and experience. More possibilities, chances and choices to go through. Possibilities of something great happening. Another chance to finish everything I wanted to do in the past year. More choices for me to make to open new paths.
Pessimistic view: Another year of problems. I have to go through everything over again. I have to go through another year carrying the burden and scars from last year only to gain new ones. People say it's a new start but they really don't mean it. They still remember what you did to them last year, and they will hold it against you this year. Mistakes carry over to the next year while people easily forget what little good happened at the last. Why do we celebrate New Year's again?
